Analysis of student's A2 work

I analysed a previous Media Studies student's music video. This was mainly a concept based video, with several performance based shots used occasionally.

The video is quite basic, but makes up for this using shot, lighting and editing techniques. There are several times during the video where the lyrics are displayed through text on screen. This has been used to add emphasis to the lyrics.

The final shot is a scene of the band about to play. This scene is effective as the use of lighting makes it appear as it is a live performance.

Overall the video has an interesting idea for a concept based video. However, the final minute of the video feels rushed as it repeats an earlier section of the video, except it is sped up.
